Visit the North Conway Rec Path

North Conway finally has a rec path! The winding 2.9-mile Rec Path runs from Cranmore Mountain Resort south to Hemlock Lane, which located just south of Settlers Green off of North-South Road. It is open to all non-motorized vehicles (other than Class 1 E-Bikes). The path has a series of straightaways as well as winding sections with slight uphill grades and cruising downhills that follow. Highlights include a pullout area with great views of Pudding Pond and the Green Hills, beautiful bridges and benches throughout for resting. It leads through tall forests, wetland areas and sandy scrub pines, with glimpses of the Green Hills and White Mountains throughout the path.

A long-time community fundraising effort, the Rec Path cost $2.3 million to construct. Planning was led by the volunteers of the MWV Trails Association. Settlers Green contributed an acre of land located at the Hemlock Lane southern terminus, which will serve as the public gateway to the Rec Path in the future. Settlers Green donated an additional $4,000 toward the efforts over the years including on #GivingTuesday and Rock The Rec events. REI Co-Op pledged $20,000 toward the efforts in 2019 and has earmarked another $5,000 for the upcoming Phase II plan.
