Mt. Washington from Jackson

New Hampshire photographer Harry Lichtman was commissioned by Settlers Green to capture this iconic panoramic view of Mt. Washington. The sky and mountains were created using nine overlapping vertical images taken at sunrise on May 3, 2021. The trees and emerging foliage were created using the same focal length lens from the exact same position in 22 overlapping vertical images taken 30 minutes after sunrise on May 8, 2021. This technique allowed him to capture the snow-covered mountains, a beautiful sky and budding trees. Learn more about the Presidential Range and see an ID of all its peaks here.
