October 27, 2016 (North Conway, NH) - Heavy equipment has arrived on site, local contractors Gordon T. Burke and Son have mobilized and the newest 15 million dollar expansion for Settlers Green is in motion. The new development, Settlers Green Streetside, is located at 1699 White Mountain Highway and will bring an additional 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant to the outlet shopping center. The company is inviting the community to its official ground-breaking ceremony on Tuesday, November 1 at 11:30 am. At that time, they will take the opportunity to introduce key team members and share a brief presentation of the conceptual designs and architectural features. Refreshments will be served.
First opened in 1988, Settlers Green Outlet Village is managed by OVP Management, Inc., a Newton Massachusetts based real estate development company. It has developed over 500,000 square feet of commercial properties in North Conway, including Settlers Crossing and Settlers Corner. The company is also responsible for Settlers Common, an additional 80,000 square feet of service retail located behind TJ Maxx slated for a 2018 opening. OVP Management, Inc. has six employees located in North Conway, New Hampshire that manage all operations, marketing and construction for the company. Long-time Project Manager Roger Williams will oversee the construction of the new buildings and is working closely with the Cambridge-based architectural firm of Prellwitz and Chilinski Associates, Inc. "Local and regional contractors including Gordon T. Burke and sons, AJ Coleman Company, DW Electric and White Mountain Survey will be key partners in bringing the architect’s vision to life," notes Williams.
The buildings will feature a variety of materials including brick, stucco, clapboard and lots of glass. Each tenant space will have a slightly different façade that is reminiscent of a traditional New England look, but with modern accoutrements. The entrance to the center, and the inspiration for the “Streetside” label, features a boulevard from Route 16 – Streetside Drive- that will lead into the center and feature storefront parking along both sides. Streetside Drive will move through the middle of the new Settlers Green Streetside development and connect directly with Common Court at Settlers Green Outlet Village.
Along the way there will be new amenities, lush landscaping and streetscape furnishings that allow customers to comfortably enjoy their shopping visit.
There are a total of ten new tenant locations in Settlers Green Streetside and all but two have either been leased or have leases out for signature. “Polo Ralph Lauren was the first tenant signed to Streetside and will be the anchor store.” stated General Manager and Marketing Director Dot Seybold. “We have been working with their leasing team for several years to create the perfect setting for a prototype retail design. I know their local management team is really looking forward to a new, modern building to feature their world class apparel and accessories.” A new concept restaurant offering world foods and featuring craft beers from around New England and the world will be announced shortly. A full roster of tenants will be announced in early January.
The addition of Streetside will increase Settlers Green to 300,000 square feet of commercial retail development with an expected 115 million in annual sales.
