The Settlers’ Green Outlet Village of North Conway New Hampshire (www.settlersgreen.com) is partnering with NH PetSave and sponsor Red Jacket Resorts for a daylong celebration of dogs. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will include an array of activities for shoppers and their canine friends, including a pet modeling contest sponsored by Lupine Pet.
The events for the day will include an adoption tent with dogs from the Conway Area Humane Society and the NH Humane Society, a parade of breeds, canine nail trimming, dog hair extensions, readings by an animal communicator, a dental care demonstration by a local veterinarian, and a kissing booth. All those registering for the modeling contest will receive a Wag Bag and a $10 Gift Card to a store at Settlers Green when a $10 donation is made to NH PetSave.
The winner of the pet modeling contest will be featured in a Lupine Pet catalog, and will receive a gift basket valued at $100. Dog biscuits, doggie ice cream, costumes and wading pools to cool off in will be available for all canine guests, as well as free treats and water at doggie friendly outlet stores.
NH PetSave is a statewide coalition of twelve of the largest animal shelters in the Granite State, whose mission is to bring awareness to pet homelessness, and to provide resources to save the lives of vulnerable pets. The participating humane organizations in New Hampshire rescue over 18,500 animals each year. Proceeds from the Dog Days of Summer—Settlers’ Green Unleashed!will benefit NH PetSave and participating member shelters Conway Area Humane Society and the NH Humane Society of Laconia.
