Settlers Green continues to innovate the way it connects customers to its brands at its 500,000 square foot shopping center with new marketing and customer service strategies in 2019.
The center has launched a new retailer support program to help promote marketing programs and in-store amenities to its shoppers through settlersgreen.com. With that, subtle changes have been incorporated to its website including new mobile formatting that takes a single touch to get to key information including directions, hours, dining and a store directory. It has also significantly upgraded its dining page to incorporate menus, descriptions and photos of all on-site eateries.
“Sixty percent of our website visits come from mobile devices,” said Laura Lemieux, director of marketing and events at Settlers Green. “Ninety percent of the Boston market is experiencing our website on mobile devices and roughly 75 percent of nearby web visits come from mobile, so we know shoppers are looking for immediate, convenient and current information that will help their shopping experience with us.”
Settlers Green has rolled out new marketing programs to drive traffic and sales with special promotional days including 55+ Day on Tuesdays and 20s Day on Mondays — which targets shoppers age 20-29, along with every day promotions including military, teacher, and student discounts. Additionally, customer service in-store amenities are being promoted including free in-store WiFi, mobile checkout services, online sales, and click and collect services.
“Click and collect is growing immensely and we’re seeing it incorporated into some new store plans such as REI Co-op, which is opening a 25,000 square foot store here in September,” said Lemieux. “The store will have lockers located outside of its store for convenient, anytime pick up.”
Settlers Green has long been innovative with its on-site customer service offerings. It has a private Mother’s Room for nursing moms and family bathrooms with diaper changing stations, convenient for mom or dad. It also offers up fun experiences including public art, an outdoor ping pong table, a musical playground for kids, and a variety of relaxing seating areas for shoppers to enjoy while using the center’s free public WiFi.
