New Art at Streetside

Hey shoppers, we have some exciting news!  Our final public art installation is here and standing tall over Streetside.  The “Granite Mother” is the final installment of six art pieces throughout Settlers Green Outlet Village and Settlers Streetside.

Sculpted by Antoinette Prien Schultze, the “Granite Mother” is made of granite and inlaid colored glass.  The blue glass projects a sundial effect on the ground, while a small window allows you to view the shopping center ahead.

Antoinette Prien Schultze is a local New England artist living in Eliot, Maine. Antoinette entered the art world when she attended a Masters impressionist class at Columbia College in New York City. She went from clay, to wood, to stone, seamlessly expressing herself through each medium. She read library books, and with a baby in one arm, made her first casting on her dining room table.  A mixture of both the sturdy and the whimsical, the “Granite Mother” makes a powerful addition to our collection.

You can see our full art collection on our website, or stop by our customer service office (Suite C13), and pick up a helpful guide to view them in person!
