Construction Pace Heats Up As Streetside Stores Prepare To Open This Summer

Settlers Green continues its hot construction pace at Settlers Green Streetside, the 15 million dollar expansion project that broke ground in November 2016. It is on track to be complete this summer, less than one year after breaking ground on this 50,000 square foot project which includes four new buildings.

Columbia Sportswear, Skechers Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and Francesca's are four of the nine outlet retail brands coming, with more announcements on the way. There will also be a new 120-seat upscale restaurant, Barley & Salt Tap House and Kitchen, featuring an extensive draught beer list along with an interesting “street food” menu, set to open this fall. Barley & Salt is an original dining concept developed by local and well-known restaurant owner Ben Williams. Ben is also co-owner of the successful Black Cap Grille located at Settlers Crossing, and was an original partner of the famed Horsefeathers Restaurant in North Conway Village.

In the past few months, several new stores and restaurants have opened at Settlers Green and its sister properties, Settlers Corner and Settlers Crossing. Express Factory Outlet and Corningware, Corelle & More opened at Settlers Green Outlet Village in April. There has also been great success with a new burger restaurant at Settlers Corner; Wicked Fresh Craft Burgers is a joint family business venture that has seen early success since its April opening with local foodies. It serves up locally-sourced, handmade burgers and fries in a hip, original restaurant. While no new stores have opened recently at Settlers Crossing, we are happy to announce that Eastern Mountain Sports and the EMS Climbing School are scheduled to stay open in light of recent company-wide bankruptcy closures.

The addition of Settlers Green Streetside will increase Settlers Green to 300,000 square feet of commercial retail development. A massive grand opening event is planned for this October. Titled "Dancing in the Street," the festivities kick off on Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend and run through Sunday, October 15, 2017.
