Destination North Conway

Settlers Green is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, one of the biggest travel destinations in New Hampshire for New England families as well international markets including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and neighboring Canada.

Aside from shopping, North Conway, which is located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, is known for a rich array of year-round recreation and activities for families, groups and couples on extended visits.

North Conway is situated in a valley surrounded by mountain views including Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the northeast. The spring and summer months are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, water activities and scenic drives. The fall is an excellent time to see some of the world’s best foliage. In the winter, outdoor activities include skiing, ice climbing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

According to the Travel Barometer FY 2015, more travelers visited the state and they spent more during fiscal year 2015 than 2014. In fact, it was the best year in the last two decades. The following information is based on a 2009 Lodging Property Study by Granite State College that covers the Mt. Washington Valley and includes properties located in Carroll and Coos counties in New Hampshire as well as Cumberland and Oxford counties in Maine. Of the 171 Lodging Properties in the study, 62 are in Conway, 19 are in Jackson and 19 are in Bartlett.
